One families’ struggle to cope with Autism.

When our son Joseph was diagnosed with Autism, we were crushed. Without losing a moment, we researched the web and found many resources for ourselves and for our son. Dynamic Listening Center of Cape Cod

The All-Well Holistic Healthcare Dynamic Listening Center of Cape Cod was designed to provide children and adults who experience developmental delays or learning disorders with a non-drug solution to their problems. The center features the use of the Dynamic Listening System (DLS).

The DLS is the work of Denver based MD, Ron Minson (www.dynamiclistening.com). Dr. Minson's work is based on the pioneering research of Alfred Tomatis, MD. Dr. Tomatis (www.tomatis.com), a French physician, developed his Electronic Ear after discovering that no person can reproduce sound frequencies that he cannot hear. Additionally, Tomatis' tireless work uncovered the fact that many people who are diagnosed with conditions as varied as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), dyslexia, Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), or any of a variety of learning disorders, had objective impairment in their ability to hear certain frequencies. And when the auditory impairment was corrected, the diagnosed condition disappeared.

If you or your child struggle with learning disorders or developmental delays that impair the ability to function cognitively, physically and emotionally at 100%, auditory deficits may be part of the problem.

The Dynamic Listening System uses special electronics to give the nerves and muscles in the ear a sensory workout like no other.

Much like the gains made by a regular exercise regimen, the DLS provides the stimulation necessary to cause auditory pathways to accelerate their own healing.

Sessions last approximately 1.5 hours and are grouped into three intensives. Periods of rest between sessions are necessary for the nervous system to integrate all of the stimulation that has been provided.

Results depend on the severity of the condition and overall health of the client. Additionally most clients require boosters several times a year to maintain their progress and further increase their auditory abilities and executive functioning.

Susan Reid Danton, MA received her BA from Lawrence University and her master’s in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. She has worked with children and adults at Malden Hospital, the Cape Cod Psych Center, South Shore Mental Health Center, and in private art therapy practice..

Thom Bober, D.C. is a chiropractor who provides non-drug solutions to healthcare concerns. He obtained his BS in Applied Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
